Communique from Films Crew Collective
Occupy Wall St became a collective focus of this collective during writing and recording sessions in September, before the occupation of Liberty Plaza, (formerly Zuccotti Park)). The technical logistics alone involved in media and tech an incredible feat. Some argue that meaning is vague and there is a need to produce a list off demands. Wall Street is being occupied, not The Museum of Modern Arts, and “We are the 99%” is simple math, it’s not difficult to comprehend.
Before delving further, we have but a few updates, Jay is hopefully on the mend after giving us a little scare. We hope Amanda is well. We hope Thomas Morris will be found. There will be a website update, as well as a great deal of recording and re-recording we have started and slated. We had admittedly scattered ourselves over a few projects that ‘some argue’ seem to lack focus, as a collective we don’t share this opinion, as it wasn’t a particular critique, as such as each project has a different focus and musical voice, we will attempt to give the distinctions more clarity. As it is all Films Crew (Band), Films Crew Collective, a faction of projects continues.
The Occupy Wall Street Movement has had a profound affect on this thinking. It has also provided some brave new video journalists, who’s streams we recommend visiting.
